Pay Rate: Flexible - Onsite

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Contract Length: 12 Months

We are hiring for this role to join a great team and contribute to modernizing reporting systems.

• Provide planning, assessment, and development effort to complete the conversion of 100+ operational reports and dashboards from Jasper Reports to Power
  
  BI.
• Work with the Project Manager and Business Areas to evaluate and modernize reports where applicable.
• Migrate report functionality to Power BI Desktop or Power BI Report Builder based on project assessment.
• Document knowledge transfer and support communication to ensure project completion.

• Participate in reporting needs assessment to understand current operational reports.
• Assess and define the approach for migration in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Design and develop migrations to Power BI following OPS Standards and Guidelines (AODA, WCAG 2.0 Level AA).
• Troubleshoot and apply corrective actions for issues discovered during pre-release testing.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer supporting migration activities.
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities.

• Demonstrated working knowledge of Power BI Desktop (at least 2 years of experience).
• Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL query languages (T‑SQL, PL‑SQL) (at least 4 years of experience).
• Demonstrated working knowledge of DAX programming (at least 2 years of experience).

• Technical skills and expertise in Jasper Report Tool.
• Experience in a business intelligence team delivering analytical reports and dashboards.
• Experience developing with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder, redesigning outdated reports.
• Experience writing Power BI DAX code to implement business logic.
• Experience troubleshooting SQL queries and performing data validation for report accuracy.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Microsoft SSDT.

• Demonstrated working knowledge of Power BI Desktop (at least 2 years of experience).
• Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL query languages (T‑SQL, PL‑SQL) (at least 4 years of experience).
• Demonstrated working knowledge of DAX programming (at least 2 years of experience).
