Office 365 Solutions Architect
Pay Rate: (flexible)
Location:
Toronto ON
Contract Length: 6 months
Main Responsibilities SharePoint Rollout- Lead SharePoint implementation across Toronto Water divisions
- Configure SharePoint sites and permissions
- Support divisional administrators
- Ensure alignment with City SharePoint Best Practices
- Conduct pre‑migration assessments
- Develop migration strategy and planning
- Perform metadata and content mapping
- Execute migration activities
- Maintain data integrity and compliance
- Provide Open Text Content Server support
- Provide SharePoint technical administration
- Support business continuity during transition
- Provide post‑migration warranty support
- Assess existing Content Server business usage
- Analyze folder structures and metadata
- Standardize SharePoint site and library models
- Conduct content cleanup and reorganization
- Preserve:
- Metadata
- Version history
- User permissions
- Audit trails
- Created/modified dates
Resolve migration challenges such as:
- Unsupported Java Script
- Plug‑ins
- Large site size limitations
- Deep folder hierarchies
- Unsupported characters
- Custom workflows
- SharePoint configuration
- Permission modelling
- SharePoint Online / Modern Sites
- Workflow development
- Mobile capabilities
- Migration scripting and automation
- Folder structure management
- Metadata mapping
- User administration
- Data extraction
- Backup and restore management
- Workflow support
Candidate should have:
- Strong experience leading large‑scale migrations
- Knowledge of Content Server data structures
- Ability to migrate without third‑party tools
- Experience preserving full‑fidelity migration data
- Implement redirection services
- Ensure old Content Server URLs remain accessible
- Maintain audit compliance
- Preserve permissions and versioning
- Implement immutable backups with restoration capability
- 5–10 years SharePoint administration/migration experience
- 5–10 years Open Text Content Server support experience
- Strong troubleshooting capability
- Experience handling migration bottlenecks
- University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Develop detailed migration plans
- Create pilot migration strategies
- Identify migration groups
- Develop migration guidelines
- Prepare step‑by‑step checklists
- Document workaround plans
- Provide expert guidance
- Support operational activities
- Ensure successful transition to operations
