Senior Application Specialist; Deltek Vantagepoint

Overview

The Senior Application Specialist administers, optimizes, and enhances the Deltek Vantagepoint system. This role supports strategic initiatives, improves system functionality, and enables data-driven decision-making through dashboards, reporting, and workflow enhancements. The position reports to the Finance office and offers hybrid work options.

• System Administration & Optimization:
  Act as the subject matter expert for Deltek Vantagepoint, with knowledge of multiple modules (e.g., Projects, Accounting, CRM, Resource Planning). Maintain and optimize system configurations, workflows, and processes. Evaluate system updates and enhancements, recommending improvements and best practices. Ensure system integrity, lead testing, validation and rollout of new features and changes in alignment with business processes.
• Support of Finance Initiatives:
  Partner with the Vice President, Finance to support strategic initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvements. Translate business requirements into technical solutions within Vantagepoint. Lead or support implementation of new features, modules, or process changes from a technical perspective. Provide ongoing system support and troubleshooting as needed.
• Dashboards & Reporting:
  Design and develop custom dashboards aligned with VP and leadership requirements. Build, maintain, and optimize reports to support financial and operational decision-making. Manage report scheduling and automation, ensuring timely and accurate distribution. Continuously improve reporting efficiency and usability.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Stay current with Deltek Vantagepoint releases, updates, and capabilities. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance workflows, automation, and reporting. Recommend and implement system improvements to drive efficiency and better user experience.
• Training & Documentation:
  Develop training materials, including quick reference guides for dashboards and system functionality. Provide user training and support to improve adoption and effective use of Vantagepoint tools. Act as a resource for end users across departments.

• Required Skills:
  
  Strong knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint modules (Projects, Billing, Accounting, CRM, Resource Planning). Dashboards and reporting tools within Vantagepoint. Workflow configuration and system administration. Experience with report scheduling and automation. Data analysis and visualization. Advanced proficiency in Excel and related reporting tools is an asset.
• Required Experience:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience with Deltek Vantagepoint (or Vision). Experience supporting finance or accounting teams in an architecture and/or engineering professional services setting is strongly preferred. Salary: $90,000.00 - $ per year (Compensation based on education, qualifications and experience).
