Senior Oracle Database Consultant

Drive impactful database innovations at CIBC as a Senior Consultant in Oracle Database (Multitenant - CDB/PDB) based in Toronto, ON. This hands-on role is essential for optimizing Oracle environments.
In your role at CIBC, you will be responsible for the architecture and implementation of Oracle database solutions within the Cloud Engineering and Transformation team. Your expertise in Oracle RAC and multitenant architecture will be vital for enhancing performance and reliability of mission-critical systems. Collaborating across various teams, you will lead initiatives that ensure the bank's database platforms are robust and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and optimize Oracle RAC environments end-to-end

• Manage multitenant databases and lifecycle strategies

• Design and maintain high availability solutions

• Apply diagnostic tools for performance optimization

• Take ownership of database environments beyond standard support
Requirements:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases

• Strong skills in Oracle RAC, ASM, and multitenant architecture

• Experience with high-availability solutions and Data Guard

• Proficient in advanced troubleshooting methodologies

• Familiarity with cloud database environments is a plus
