Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking an Analyst, Insights to join their team in Toronto, ON. This role focuses on reporting, data analysis, stakeholder collaboration, process improvement, and dashboarding.
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and automate reporting dashboards and data models
- Generate regular reports and insights to support business performance tracking
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness across reporting outputs
- Build and enhance reporting pipelines and workflows to improve efficiency
- Analyse large datasets using SQL, Power BI, or Excel to identify trends and insights
- Perform exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, anomalies, and opportunities
- Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies across systems
- Streamline reporting processes and eliminate manual or redundant workflows
- Design dashboards and visualisations to effectively communicate insights
- Develop KPIs and performance frameworks to support decision‑making
- B.A. in Marketing, Business, or Computer Science preferred
- 3+ years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in retail
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales and marketing data
- Strong foundation in SQL for complex data analysis
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access
- Experience with Knime is an asset
- Process improvement and automation experience is an asset
- Experience managing end‑to‑end flyer and loyalty programs is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
Typical hiring range: $53,000–$70,000. Broadband salary range: $53,000–$88,000. Comprehensive benefits, retirement programs, performance incentives, continuing education, mental health benefits of $5,000/year, product discounts, and Canadian Tire Profit Sharing.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Computer Science preferred; 3+ years of experience in an analytical role; strong SQL skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Access; experience with Power BI, Knime an asset
