Position: Lead Data Scientist for Fraud Management
Drive cutting-edge fraud detection technologies as the Lead Data Scientist in Toronto, Canada. Lead a senior data science team focused on machine learning and AI innovations in fraud management.

As a strategic leader, you will directly manage and mentor a team of senior data scientists, fostering their growth while overseeing the development of predictive fraud detection models. You will create standards for ML model development, ensuring accuracy and reliability while collaborating with various teams, including Fraud IT and Enterprise Model Risk Management, to address emerging fraud risks and validation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and guide senior data scientists on projects

• Conduct performance reviews and goal-setting sessions

• Develop supervised and unsupervised fraud detection models

• Collaborate with Fraud IT for system improvements

• Identify automation opportunities using analytical tools

Requirements:

• 5+ years in Machine Learning and statistics

• 1–3 years in team leadership or management

• Expertise in Python, R, SQL, and Big Data Frameworks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
