- Ensure student awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques.
- Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, which may include tutoring and academic counselling of students.
- Provide a learning environment that makes effective use of available resources, work experience and field trips.
- Evaluate student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the student's work within assigned course.
Law, Ethics and Social Responsibility in Software Development (BTE
620)
Covers legal, ethical, and societal impacts of technology, including AI governance, privacy, and cybersecurity.
AI for Software Developers (DPS
970)
Focuses on foundational and applied AI concepts such as intelligent systems, algorithms, and real-world applications.
Building Inclusive Solutions (ISL
301)
Emphasizes inclusive design, accessibility, and human-centered approaches to technology development.
Education- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering); a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred
- Post-secondary teaching and/or strong industry experience
- Background in AI, software development, or inclusive technology
- Ability to connect theory with real-world application
- Experience with applied learning and case-based instruction
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
