ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a senior Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant to support a Marketing Cloud implementation for a Canadian client in a regulated industry. You'll own the Data Cloud workstream, including data ingestion, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation into Marketing Cloud, and you'll partner with the architect and consultant team on the broader data strategy.
This role is based in Canada due to data residency requirements, and candidates must be comfortable with a client-led background check.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Data Cloud Implementation- Design and configure Data Cloud data streams, data lake objects, and data model objects
- Implement identity resolution rulesets and unified profiles
- Build calculated insights and segments to power activation
- Configure activations into Marketing Cloud and other downstream systems
- Translate marketing use cases into Data Cloud designs
- Define the data ingestion strategy across CRM, web, mobile, and offline sources
- Partner with the architect on the overall data and integration model
- Document data flows, transformations, and governance rules
- Run discovery sessions with the client's data and marketing teams
- Support QA and UAT for Data Cloud work streams
- Provide enablement and handover to the client's data operations team
- Support deployments and environment promotion for Data Cloud assets
- 10+ years of overall data, CRM, or martech consulting experience
- 4+ years working on Salesforce Marketing Cloud projects
- Hands-on Salesforce Data Cloud (formerly CDP) implementation experience
- Strong SQL and data modelling background
- Experience with identity resolution and customer data unification
- Based in Canada (mandatory due to data residency)
- Comfortable with a client background check
- Salesforce Data Cloud configuration (data streams, DMOs, DLOs, identity resolution, calculated insights, segments, activations)
- Marketing Cloud data model and Contact Builder
- Data ingestion patterns (batch, streaming, API)
- SQL and data transformation logic
- Working knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud data structures
- Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce Certified Data Architect
- Prior delivery experience in Financial Services, Healthcare, or Public Sector
- Familiarity with PIPEDA, CASL, and consent management
- Exposure to other CDPs (Adobe AEP, Tealium, mParticle, Treasure Data)
- Background in a consultancy or SI environment
- Ability to bridge marketing strategy and data engineering
- Strong instincts on data quality, governance, and identity logic
- Clear documentation of complex data flows
- Comfortable challenging assumptions in client workshops
