Senior Consultant - SAS to Python Migration

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to lead the strategic migration of legacy SAS applications to a modern Python-based ecosystem. You will spearhead the end‑to‑end code conversion and validation of critical financial models, ensuring flawless accuracy, regulatory compliance, and seamless integration with our Enterprise Data Lake infrastructure.

• Translate existing SAS scripts into Python for deliverables including IFRS 9 model, risk campaigns, reporting and analytics.
• Ensure logic accuracy and functional equivalence, optimizing code for performance and maintainability in the Python environment.
• Execute parallel validation: run legacy SAS and new Python processes simultaneously to verify identical outputs and mitigate transition risks.
• Leverage advanced data mining techniques and statistical modeling methodologies to extract, analyze, and validate complex datasets within IFRS 9 and risk management domains.
• Create a comprehensive data dictionary and establish end‑to‑end data lineage, documenting data origin, transformation, and movement for regulatory compliance and auditability.
• Conduct structured training sessions with permanent staff for seamless sustainment.

• 5+ years of experience in SAS migration and data migration, preferably in financial institutions.
• Advanced SAS and Python expertise with proven migration experience.
• Proficiency in data profiling, validation, and quality assurance.
• Experience with data lineage mapping and data dictionary development.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 9 models.

Salary Range: CA $ 90,000 - CA $ 120,000 per year.
