Job Summary
Project Manager (PM) responsible for planning, delivery and execution of projects for the GTS Office across a diverse portfolio of SDLC, infrastructure, and third‑party integration initiatives. The role is hybrid (2‑3 days per week in the office) and located in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities- Define scope with senior management, identify drivers and metrics.
- Determine resources (time, money, equipment, etc.).
- Create integrated plan covering scope, schedule, cost, communications, resources, dependencies, risks/issues, quality, change, and vendor management.
- Develop detailed schedule, sequence activities, and allocate resources.
- Review schedule with senior management and adjust as needed.
- Execute project per integrated plan.
- Monitor budget, scope, timelines; act on variances promptly.
- Ensure documentation is approved and stored centrally.
- Track progress, adjust course, and report status to steering committee.
- Lead re‑estimation of effort/costs at gates and obtain approvals.
- Maintain project documentation and improve PM practices, including updating lifecycle processes and enhancing templates.
- Minimum 10 years delivering business‑driven initiatives for financial institutions in a regulated environment related to clearing systems.
- Experience in a project management office governing the PMLC practice.
- End‑to‑end project delivery expertise (business and IT phases) for projects >$2M.
- University/undergraduate degree in related discipline or equivalent PM experience.
- Ability to navigate a fully matrixed, complex, ambiguous environment.
- Proven leadership and team‑management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with SDLC, iterative and Agile methodologies.
- Relationship building skills and understanding of partnership.
- Prior work with regulators and external clients.
- PMP certification.
- Experience using Workday PPM.
- Experience with on‑premise and cloud platform projects.
- Experience with various solutions including in‑house development and third‑party applications.
Hourly rate: $100/h – $120/h CAD (dependent on experience).
Contractual InformationThis position requires the applicant to be authorized to work in Canada; the company does not sponsor work permit applications.
