WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Our clients are unique and their digital banking experience should be one-of-a-kind. RBC commercial credit products and services strive to empower our clients when they interact with us. Our team is designed to deliver products throughout the client’s journey, not projects; each lab is setup for agility and continuous delivery. We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team at RBC, where you will leverage data-driven insights to solve complex business challenges.

In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and analytical solutions that drive innovation and strategic decision-making across the organization. You’ll be working to develop new and extend existing applications in the RBC Commercial and Small business portfolio.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.

• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to address specific business problems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data engineers, product managers, business stakeholders) to translate requirements into actionable insights.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear visualizations and reports.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with RBC’s data governance standards.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve analytical capabilities.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 3+ years in data science, machine learning, or a similar role.

• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch).

• Strong problem-solving abilities, statistical knowledge, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Nice-to-have :

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an asset.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
