Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AI Software Engineering professional to join a fast-growing team delivering enterprise-scale AI and machine learning solutions for leading clients within banking, financial services, insurance, and capital markets.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI/ML applications using modern AI frameworks, cloud technologies, and scalable data platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, proven production delivery experience, and the ability to operate effectively in client-facing environments while helping guide technical direction and mentor developers.

This role is hybrid and requires attendance at our downtown Toronto office a minimum of 3 days per week, subject to change.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI/ML applications and intelligent systems.
- Deliver scalable AI solutions using modern AI/ML frameworks including LLM APIs, RAG architectures, and AI agents.
- Build high-quality Python applications using modern frameworks and best engineering practices.
- Develop and maintain data and feature pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent platforms.
- Support cloud-native AI deployments across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Contribute to MLOps best practices including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders and present technical solutions to leadership teams.
- Demonstrate interest and potential for future leadership and management responsibilities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7-8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 4-5+ years of hands-on Deep Learning experience.
- Proven track record delivering production-ready AI/ML solutions and MVPs.
- Strong Python expertise with experience using FastAPI, asyncio, and Pydantic.

- Experience with modern AI technologies including LLM APIs, RAG, and AI agents.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent data platforms.
- Strong cloud and MLOps experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices.
- Strong communication skills with experience working in client-facing environments.
- Previous experience within banking, financial services, insurance, capital markets, or related industries is strongly preferred.
