Project Manager / Scrum Master - Banking Domain
Location:
Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days WFO)
The Project Manager / Scrum Master is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring successful execution within scope, timeline, and budget. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, driving delivery governance, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Delivery Leadership
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across business and technology.
- Track project progress and adjust plans as required.
- Ensure adherence to delivery governance and quality standards.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Manage dependencies and escalate when required.
- Handle change requests and control scope creep.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communications.
- Provide regular status updates, milestones, and financial reporting to leadership.
- Ensure alignment between business and technical teams.
Agile / Scrum Delivery
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
- Support Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery environments.
- Ensure effective use of Agile tools and practices.
Project Closure
- Ensure successful project closure and handover.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.
- 10+ years of experience in Project Management / Program Delivery.
- Strong experience managing large-scale enterprise projects.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with tools such as: JIRA, MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet.
