Intermediate Project Manager for large enterprise retail client, to manage HCM and Workforce
Our client, Canada's largest retail chain, currently has an opening in one of their PMOs within their technology vertical for an Intermediate Technical Project Manager, with strong technical project delivery skills and a preference for prior experience supporting initiatives across HCM, WFM, and SAP-related toolsets, including AI-enabled implementations and integrations.
Start Date:
ASAP
End Date: to December 31, 2026, with possibility of extension
Location:
Brampton, ON - 2-3 days per week (with some flexibility)
The position will support technical, business-driven projects with a strong emphasis on stakeholder coordination across business, technical, and vendor teams. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in complex environments with multiple concurrent work streams.
Current and upcoming initiatives- Workforce Management (WFM) enhancement projects
- Workday-related initiatives, including learning platform/module initiatives
- SAP-related projects and integrations
- Potential future projects involving SAP modules such as Concur, Ariba, and Fieldglass
- Workday Benefits implementation and vendor integration projects
- One key initiative involves mobile enhancements to Blue Yonder WFM platform
- Driving end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives within the PMO Control Tower
- Managing integrated project plans, dependencies, risks, and financials
- Coordinating with business, technology, and vendor partners to ensure milestones and outcomes are met
- Providing clear status reporting, issue escalation, and decision support to senior stakeholders
- Applying strong technical acumen to projects involving enterprise platforms and AI-enabled solutions
- Proven experience managing medium-to-large scale technology programs
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed workplace
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Hands‑on, delivery-oriented mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity
- 3-7 years of Technical Project Management experience (at least 2-3 complex projects in the past), coordinated multiple streams
- Experience managing integration projects with HCM (Human Capital Management) and WFM (Workforce Management) tools
- Strong stakeholder management skills - ability to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and present to executive-level leadership
- Experience managing SAP Projects (Fieldglass, Concur, Ariba)
