Job Description

As a member of the Digital Marketing team, you will play a hands‑on role in growing RBC's organic presence and digital reach across public‑facing channels. This role sits at the intersection of search engine optimization, digital content strategy, and digital marketing, giving you the opportunity to shape how millions of clients discover and engage with RBC online. You will work closely with Marketing, Product, and Technology partners to drive measurable growth through smart AEO/SEO strategies, data‑driven content decisions, and continuous channel optimization.

This role is built for someone who takes genuine pride in the details – someone who is highly organized, thorough in execution, and energized by moving multiple work streams forward without anything slipping through the cracks.

What will you do?
  • Contribute to and execute AEO/SEO strategies: including on‑page, off‑page, and technical SEO to improve search engine and LLM organic search visibility, citations, rankings, and traffic across RBC's public websites.
  • Own a long‑form content calendar from end to end: managing article ideation, assignment, approval workflows, development timelines, and post‑publication optimization to ensure every piece moves efficiently through each stage of its lifecycle.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap assessments to inform digital content strategy and campaign planning.
  • Audit website health and technical SEO performance; identify and flag issues such as crawl errors, page speed, structured data, and indexation gaps in partnership with web and technology teams.
  • Optimize landing pages, content, and metadata to improve organic search performance and drive qualified acquisition across digital channels.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on AEO/SEO and digital marketing performance using analytics platforms; translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with content creators, UX designers, and web developers to ensure AEO/SEO best practices are embedded throughout the content and development lifecycle.
  • Track algorithm updates, industry trends, and emerging search behaviors; proactively recommend adjustments to keep RBC's digital presence ahead of the curve.
  • Build and present performance dashboards, AEO/SEO reports, and campaign insights for marketing and business stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with precision. Maintaining organized documentation, clear timelines, and consistent follow‑through at every stage.
What do you need to succeed? Must‑have
  • 3+ years of experience in AEO/SEO, digital marketing, or a related digital discipline
  • Proven hands‑on experience with on‑page, off‑page, and technical AEO/SEO best practices
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail – you manage complexity without losing sight of the small things that make a big difference
  • A strong execution mindset: you follow through, hit deadlines, and hold yourself accountable across every stage of a project
  • Experience owning or managing an editorial or content calendar, including multi‑stakeholder approval workflows
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console and SEMrush
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and/or Adobe Analytics
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and understanding of how web publishing impacts AEO/SEO
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Strong written communication skills with an understanding of how content and copy choices affect search performance
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams, including Legal, Compliance, and Product
Nice‑to‑have
  • Experience in the financial services industry or other regulated environment
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript as it relates to AEO/SEO implementation
  • Experience with A/B testing platforms or conversion rate optimization (CRO)
  • Exposure to structured data/schema markup
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, ) used to manage content pipelines and approval stages
  • Experience with You Tube strategy, video content marketing, and video performance optimization
  • Experience building AI agents or designing agentic workflows to support content, marketing, or operational efficiency
What’s in it for you?
  • Opportunities to do challenging work utilizing latest technologies
  • Opportunities to see measurable results in relatively short term
  • Opportunities to take on progressively greater accountabilities
  • Opportunities to building close relationships with counterparts across the bank
