Position: Distinguished Database Engineer at Dayforce

This role invites a seasoned technical leader to influence large-scale database platforms  will define the architecture for resilience and scalability across transactional and analytical systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to modernize data platform operations while leveraging AI and automation to solve complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define scalable architecture for data platforms

• Lead evolution of Lakehouse architecture

• Ensure performance and reliability of database systems

• Guide adoption of modern tools and platforms

• Partner with teams to shape data access patterns

Requirements:

• 10+ years in large-scale database platforms

• Expertise in SQL Server and PostgreSQL

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Background in No

SQL and relational databases

• Understanding of performance tuning and high availability
