Lead Azure DevOps Engineer – GitHub Enterprise Migration

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Lead Azure Dev Ops Engineer – Git Hub Enterprise Migration. This position involves designing, building, and maintaining automation workflows and tools to support large-scale application migrations to Git Hub Enterprise, leveraging extensive expertise in cloud, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless operations and platform standardization.

Pay rate range (CAD): $75.00/hr – $85.00/hr

• Design, build, and maintain Git Hub Actions workflows to automate CI/CD processes.
• Develop custom Git Hub Actions and optimize existing workflows.
• Implement code coverage and test coverage solutions to improve quality assurance.
• Manage secrets and security controls within Git Hub environments.
• Integrate Git Hub with enterprise tools such as Service Now.
• Support application migration efforts to Git Hub Enterprise across multiple applications.
• Collaborate on platform standardization and process automation initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues alongside development teams.
• Work closely with developers, team leads, and data engineering teams to gather feedback and iterate solutions.
• Lead technical discussions, provide strategic recommendations, and operate with a consulting mindset.

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with a focus on Dev Ops practices.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience building and managing Git Hub Actions and workflows.
• Strong containerization experience with Docker and relevant technologies.
• Experience with Azure cloud deployment, troubleshooting, and operational support.
• Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate workflows.
• Deep understanding of SDLC and application architecture.
• Familiarity with Hashi Corp tools such as Terraform and Vault.
• Strong debugging skills related to build and deployment processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead technical discussions.

• Experience with Angular and .NET application stacks.
• Previous involvement in large application migration projects.
• Knowledge of enterprise workflow management and integration tools.
• Familiarity with other cloud providers is a plus.
