Senior Dev Ops Engineer – CI/CD & Cloud Automation (Capital Markets)

Location: Toronto, ON OR Halifax, NS - Hybrid (4 Days WFO)

Duration: 12 months

As a solution engineer, you will be responsible for supporting application teams in all their Dev Ops needs and implementation. You will be working directly with the application teams to guide, troubleshoot and resolve any issues in the CICD pipeline. You will also be involved with major migration initiative working directly with application teams.

• Support app teams to migrate from Jenkins, RLM or manual deployment to Git Hub Actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any Dev Ops related issues.
• Create and debug CI/CD pipeline stages writing various stages.
• Implement any automation or configuration needed to ensure successful integration.
• Write POM and settings from scratch and work with various code bases.
• Set up Git Hub Actions and workflow details, execution and runners.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience.
• Hands on experience of CI/CD pipeline.
• Creating and debugging CI/CD pipeline stages.
• Writing various stages.
• Working with various code bases.
• Complete understanding of Maven – concept of POM, SuperPOM.
• Write POM from scratch.
• Write Settings from scratch.
• Understand and execute builds for project types NPM.
• Understand and execute builds for project types PyPi.
• About npm commands.
• .NET – dotnet and msbuild.
• Git Hub Actions – workflow details and execution, runners.

• Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Ops, Artifactory, Sonar Qube, Terraform and UCD, Ansible.
• Jenkins Build, Multibranch Pipelines, Maven Pipelines.
• Debugging Jenkins failures.
• Configuration of Sonar Qube.
• Experience with CD tools like Terraform, UCD.
• Configuration and deployment tools like Ansible.

• Docker and containerization – writing Dockerfiles, Docker commands.
• Kubernetes clusters and their management.
• Concept of deployment, name spaces, PV/PVC in K8s.
• Helm charts and their purpose.
• Deployment using Kubernetes – Helm and Kubectl.
• Troubleshooting Kubernetes events, pod failures, logs, nodes.

• Hands on experience of CI/CD pipeline with a complete understanding of NPM or Nugut.
• Writing declarative pipelines using Groovy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Agile tools like JIRA, Service Now.
• Scripting experience – Groovy, Shell, Python.
