Location:

Princeton, NJ or New York, NY, Charlottesville, VA, Toronto, ON, Calgary, AB, or Mexico City, MX. Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week.

Team

The Collection Platforms & AI team builds machine‑learning powered products and capabilities to power natural‑language understanding, data extraction, information retrieval, and data sourcing solutions for S&P;
Global and its clients. The role involves leading the design, development, and productionization of AI products and pipelines in a global, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy large‑scale ML and GenAI‑powered products and pipelines.
  • Own all stages of the data science project lifecycle: design, develop, deploy, monitor, and scale models throughout the full software development life cycle.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, proof‑of‑concepts, model benchmarking, and validation experiments for both ML and GenAI approaches.
  • Partner with business leaders, domain experts, and end‑users to gather requirements and align on success metrics.
  • Follow coding standards, conduct code reviews, and optimize data‑science workflows.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and communicate results to executive stakeholders.
Technical Requirements
  • Strong grasp of statistics, probability, and the mathematics underpinning modern AI.
  • Proficiency in linear programming, optimization, and multi‑dimensional optimizers such as Adam, SGD, and gradient descent.
  • Experience with large language models, prompt engineering, fine‑tuning, and embedding‑based retrieval.
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency in Python (Num Py, Pandas, Spa Cy, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TF 2, Hugging Face Transformers).
  • Understanding of ML & deep‑learning models, including NLP transformers, GNNs, and multimodal systems.
  • Solid understanding of database structures and SQL.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and apply cutting‑edge AI/ML methods in production.
  • Experience with end‑to‑end GenAI or advanced NLP projects such as NER, table extraction, OCR integration, or GNN solutions.
  • Familiarity with orchestration and deployment tools:
    Airflow, Redis, Flask/Django/FastAPI, SQL, R‑Shiny/Dash/Streamlit.
  • Openness to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and programming languages as needed.
  • Public contributions or demos on Git Hub, Kaggle, Stack Overflow, technical blogs, or publications.
  • 5+ years of professional work within the AI space or building statistical/mathematical quantitative models in production.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced technical degree (Master’s or higher) in STEM fields.
  • Experience in product ionizing AI applications.
  • Experience with multi‑modal LLMs and integrating vision and text for autonomous agents.

Compensation (US Applicants)
  • Anticipated base salary range: $90,000 – $160,000, dependent on location, experience, and qualifications.
  • Eligible for an annual incentive plan.
  • Subject to standard company benefits.
Compensation (Canadian Applicants)
  • Anticipated base salary range: 95,000 – 140,000 CAD.
  • Final compensation based on performance, location, experience, and other factors.
  • Benefits aligned with Ontario regulations effective January 1, 2026.
