AWS Production Support Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: CAD $110,000 $ 120,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced AWS Production Support Engineer to join a high-performing Cloud Platform Services team supporting enterprise-scale AWS environments. This role is ideal for a cloud operations professional with strong troubleshooting skills, AWS platform expertise, and experience supporting Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD-driven environments.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, stability, security, and performance of cloud infrastructure while supporting application teams and driving operational excellence.

• Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise Cloud Platform Services (CPS) across AWS environments.

• Support and maintain AWS platform services including:

  • Networking

  • IAM (Identity & Access Management)

  • Compute Services

  • Storage Services

  • Monitoring & Observability

  • Security Services

• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.

• Ensure platform stability, performance, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).

• Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployments using:

  • AWS CDK

  • Terraform

  • Cloud Formation

• Assist with CI/CD pipeline support, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.

• Partner with application teams on cloud onboarding, access management, and operational support.

• Participate in incident management, problem management, change management, and production support processes.

• Support 24x7 production environments through on-call and operational support rotations.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation, and operational efficiency.

• 6 8 years of IT experience with a focus on Cloud Operations, Production Support, or Cloud Engineering.

• Hands-on experience supporting AWS-based enterprise environments.

• Experience in highly regulated enterprise environments.

• Exposure to cloud governance and security best practices.

• Experience with automation and scripting.

• Knowledge of container technologies and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL practices.
