Senior Business Analyst (2 Positions)

10+ month contract (206 business days) with possible extensions. Onsite, 5 days per week at 21 College Street. Security level: CRJMC + Credit Check.

• 10+ years of experience leading and conducting business and system analysis, documenting requirements for IT solutions.
• Proven experience in both agile and waterfall project management, including writing user stories and using Dev Ops tools.
• Experience in building data marts, warehouses, lake houses, or BI/Analytics reporting solutions.
• Experience with Dynamics
  365CE and/or F&O solutions.
• Familiarity with PowerBI reporting tools.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to execute queries.
• Understanding of ETL, data quality, clean‑up, and data issue handling.

• Lead and conduct business and systems analysis for data migration to the data lakehouse and modernized PowerBI reports.
• Define the reporting MVP, document legacy reports, conduct gap analysis, and provide recommendations.
• Document report requirements in user stories using Dev Ops.
• Perform analysis at varying levels of detail aligned with OPS standards.
• Act as liaison between business areas, migration, and reporting teams to clarify requirements.
• Create business/model/use‑case/logic/data flow models and define business rules and non‑functional requirements.
• Produce and update documentation to support future system support.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, define test cases, perform reconciliation, and develop KPIs for progress and quality.
• Provide post‑migration support, analyze data‑related issues, and optimize data management processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Complete work and meet milestones within deadlines.
• Notify the Project Manager in writing of any issues or concerns promptly.
• Submit deliverables for approval as completed.
• Comply with Ontario Government and Cluster/Ministry security procedures, architecture/technology standards, conflict‑of‑interest and confidentiality guidelines, IIT Directive, Operational Policy, and other applicable standards.
• Transfer knowledge and skills to designated staff.

• 10+ years of business and system analysis, documenting requirements for IT solutions.
• Experience in agile and waterfall methodologies, user stories, Dev Ops.
• Experience in data migration projects, data marts, warehouses, lake houses, BI/Analytics solutions.
• Large/complex data migration project experience.
• Familiarity with PowerBI, SQL, ETL, data quality, data cleaning.
• Experience with Dynamics
  365CE/F&O.
• Experience creating use cases, test plans, test cases, test scripts for reporting or data migration.
• Defect management experience (identification, logging, tracking, resolution).
• Industry‑standard QA practices (ISO, CMMI, Agile).
• Consulting & coordinating with business areas and IT development/testing teams.
• Critical thinking, analytical, problem‑solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to engage stakeholders and build relationships.
• Strong gap‑analysis experience.

Billable rate range (7.25 hours/day): $84.19/hr – $101.04/hr (INCORPORATED). T4 rate range (7.25 hours/day): $67.35/hr – $80.83/hr.
