If you’re passionate about leveraging data, technology, and strategy to transform lending decisions and drive meaningful impact across Canadian P&BB, this is the team for you.#Future Of Retail Lending Lead  the design, deployment, and optimization of collections and recoveries strategies across the lifecycle using advanced analytics (e.g., SAS, Knowledge ENTERPRISE) and decision engines (FICO TRIAD, FICO Decision Management, CGI Strata). Drive data-led decisions to improve recoveries, reduce losses, and increase operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Design and optimize end-to-end collections strategies (early-stage through recoveries) using decision engines, predictive models, and business rules.

Own the full strategy lifecycle: design, simulation, testing, deployment, and performance monitoring.

Translate business objectives (risk, profitability, customer outcomes) into effective decision strategies.

Lead change management for strategy updates, including impact analysis, testing, and governance.

Leverage internal and external data (core banking, collections systems, bureaus, agencies, legal vendors) to enhance decisioning.

Partner with Risk, Operations, Technology, and external vendors to deliver and optimize strategies.

Deliver clear, executive-level insights and recommendations grounded in data.

Ensure strategies align with regulatory requirements and risk governance standards.

Qualifications7+ years in collections strategy, risk decisioning, or analytics within financial services.

Hands-on experience with decision engines (FICO TRIAD, FICO DM, CGI Strata, or similar).Strong end-to-end collections expertise, including recoveries.

Solid analytics background with hands-on SQL, SAS, or equivalent.

Proven track record designing, testing, and deploying strategies ong stakeholder management and influencing skills; able to simplify complex concepts.

Good understanding of risk management, portfolio economics, and regulatory requirements.

Salary :$86,000.00 - $

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
