Position: Lead Data Scientist for AML Solutions
Become a Lead Data Scientist at Mastercard focusing on Anti-Money Laundering (AML). This hybrid role based in Toronto combines your expertise with advanced machine learning to combat financial crime.

As a senior individual contributor, you'll design, build, and optimize machine learning models for detecting fraudulent transactions. You’ll be collaborating closely with product teams and senior leadership to ensure models are impactful and compliant with regulatory standards. This role involves autonomous work that directly addresses financial crime through effective data analysis and enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead AML model development for transaction anomalies

• Problem frame and prototype for end-to-end solutions

• Influence technical direction with senior data science leaders

• Analyze payments data for identifying illicit patterns

• Maintain clear model documentation and compliance

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python and distributed data processing

• Experience deploying machine learning in production environments

• Strong background in handling transactional or behavioral data

• Knowledge of Databricks and MLflow tools

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science or a related field
