Job Summary
We are hiring a Senior Principal of Technical Marketing to join our team and lead data center networking, interconnection and multicloud networking initiatives. In this highly visible and highly technical thought leadership role, you will drive strategic alignment and message consistency across product, sales and enablement programs supporting our revenue goals and critical business objectives. It will span across technical sales, product and solutions marketing, and engineering and development teams to synthesize how complex architectures solve customer business objectives.
The right individual for this role has a proven track record of expertise in multicloud architectures and initiatives between private and public clouds (Layer 2/3 Routing/Switching, MCN, WAN, VNF, Cloud On-Ramps, etc.). They understand trade-offs associated with things like latency, performance and congestion, and can lead cross-functional discussions, leveraging the latest IT infrastructure trends to drive decision-making.
Responsibilities
Technologist:
Be an expert in modern multicloud networking architectures and transfer of hybrid data (any cloud to any cloud) in the AI/ML/GAI era. Collaborate as a trusted technical expert across product, sales, and marketing teams
Content Strategy:
Execute a comprehensive technical content strategy, encompassing whitepapers, solution briefs, webinars and collateral to effectively communicate the value of Equinix's solutions to customers and partners
Customer Insight:
Oversee development of Equinix’s largest global customers use cases to amplify the hybrid multicloud networking value of our unique industry partnerships
Sales Enablement:
Collaborate closely with sales leadership and GTM teams to drive enablement programs on technical content and tools, equipping sales teams with the knowledge needed to effectively articulate the benefits of Equinix
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product management, technical sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
Thought Leadership:
Represent Equinix as a thought leader and subject matter expert at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings. Build strong relationships with industry influencers and stakeholders to enhance Equinix's visibility and credibility in the market
Industry Organization Participation:
Participate and represent Equinix as appropriate in key outside governing bodies and opportunities
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior leadership to align key global product and solution marketing initiatives with product growth targets
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate strategic plans and initiatives to internal stakeholders and senior leadership. Present findings, progress reports, and recommendations to ensure buy-in and support
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related fields; MBA or advanced Technology or Science degree preferred
15+ years of experience in Engineering, Technical Sales or Product Marketing Engineering (TME/PME) roles
Technical Certifications in Cloud architectures, Data Center Networking architectures and topologies.
An innovative thinker with a creative mindset to solve complex business challenges
Cross-functional leadership with demonstrated history of aligning multiple departments to ensure cohesive execution of product marketing initiatives and programs
