Mainframe Developer

Join a leading firm in Toronto as a Mainframe Developer with 5+ years of experience. This on-site role involves technical problem-solving, production support, and project implementation.

You will contribute to critical projects involving IMS, DB2, and COBOL modules. This position requires expertise in JCLs and SORT for resolving production issues and ensuring successful batch operations. You'll also interact in agile sessions with product owners to assess project impacts and coordinate with offshore teams on high-level designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide production support and troubleshoot job failures

• Implement medium to major projects into production

• Write quick data fixes and communicate with stakeholders

• Create and manage VSAM datasets for data integrity

• Prepare high-level solution designs and present to clients

Requirements:

• 5+ years of mainframe experience in COBOL, IMS, DB2

• Proficiency in JCLs, SORT, and ICETOOL

• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Git tools

• Experience with GENAI tools like VS Code

• Strong communication skills for agile collaboration
