This role is based within the Simulation, Optimization and Systems Group at Autodesk Research. As an intern, you will explore new techniques in machine learning, develop prototypes for airflow and heat transfer simulations, and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions with the team. The ideal candidate is pursuing a PhD and has relevant experience in computational tools and programming.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research energy analysis techniques for building ventilation
• Implement prototypes integrating machine learning with simulations
• Collaborate with open-source libraries and in-house tools
• Document research findings for academic and internal purposes
• Lead technical learning sessions for the group
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a PhD in relevant fields with a 2027 graduation
• Solid experience in Python and machine learning ecosystems
• Proven background in physics simulations and numerical methods
• Familiarity with AI model training techniques
• Prior publications in recognized conferences or journals
