What we offer

This is a hands‑on role at a fast‑growing Canadian start‑up using robotics, automation, and AI to take on the housing crisis. As our IT Administrator, you’ll own the infrastructure that keeps our Greater Toronto Area manufacturing and corporate sites running – from servers, backups, and networks to cloud, security, and disaster recovery. You’ll have real ownership from day one and room to shape how the IT function grows as we scale.

You’ll also work at the leading edge of where IT meets the factory floor, supporting the OT, MES, and PLC systems behind modern manufacturing. We’re looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and genuinely good at solving problems and documenting how things work.

What you’ll do
  • Administer and maintain SAMI's on‑premises server infrastructure.
  • Execute, monitor, and verify SAMI's backup and data protection routines.
  • Own the Tier 2 operational delivery of SAMI's DR and BCP procedures.
  • Administer and troubleshoot SAMI's IT and OT network environments.
  • Implement and maintain SAMI's endpoint security controls across all facilities.
  • Administer SAMI's Microsoft 365 and Azure environments across all business units.
  • Provide Tier 2 system administration for SAMI's ERP platform (Odoo).
  • Monitor and administer MES‑connected systems and shop floor technology interfaces across SAMI's manufacturing facilities.
  • Administer the IT/OT network boundary for PLC environments across all production facilities.
  • Support the evaluation and operational deployment of AI tools and automation within IT administrative workflows under the direction of IT leadership.
  • Support the management of hardware and software asset lifecycle across all SAMI sites.
  • Own IT onboarding and offboarding across all SAMI facilities.
  • Triage, log, and manage all escalated incidents and service requests within the ITSM platform.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on systems administration experience in a professional environment, ideally spanning multiple sites, technologies, and user groups.
  • Demonstrated proficiency administering Windows Server environments, VMware/ESXi virtualization, and on‑premises server infrastructure.
  • Solid hands‑on experience with backup and data protection tools and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of DR/BCP operational practices at a Tier 2 level.
  • Solid networking fundamentals across LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless technologies, with hands‑on experience administering firewall policies and managing network connectivity across corporate and operational technology environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency administering Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Exposure to ERP…
