The UX Designer will be responsible for designing and delivering intuitive, accessible, and user‑centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. This role combines strong UX/UI design expertise with user research capabilities to ensure digital products meet user needs, align with business objectives, and adhere to accessibility standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop user interfaces for digital services, applications, and online platforms to enhance usability and user satisfaction
- Apply user-centered design practices to define and iterate product functionality based on feedback, usability testing, and business requirements
- Plan and conduct user research using qualitative and quantitative methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing, A / B testing, behavioral analysis)
- Translate research insights into actionable design artifacts such as user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Continuously evaluate and optimize interfaces through analytics, user feedback, and research findings
- Identify design challenges and develop effective solutions aligned with technical constraints and user expectations
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align design outputs with project goals and timelines
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, AODA) and inclusive design principles
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Strong experience with user-centered design and UX/UI principles across web and mobile platforms
- Proven ability to conduct user research and translate findings into design recommendations
- Expertise in creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, journey maps, and related deliverables
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, or similar)
- Understanding of web development constraints when designing functional interfaces
- Experience applying accessibility and inclusive design standards (WCAG, AODA)
- Ability to analyze user behavior, feedback, and analytics to improve digital products
- Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams
- Strong time management and ability to handle competing priorities
- Develop user requirements, personas, and experience strategies
- Facilitate design workshops, co‑creation sessions, and stakeholder alignment meetings
- Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer on UX/UI and research practices
- Ensure design deliverables align with business objectives and user needs
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies through testing and validation
- Support implementation teams with detailed design specifications
- Present design approaches and research insights to stakeholders, including senior leadership
- User interface design and user‑centered design methodologies
- Experience with Ontario Design Systems (ODS)
- Research planning, execution, and behavioral analysis
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite, and Miro

- Strong facilitation and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Experience with Azure/Dev Ops
- Public sector or Ontario‑based project experience
