Toronto Senior Consultant in Data Analytics

This position within the Canadian Actuarial team focuses on delivering high-quality catastrophe exposure data analysis and enhancing pricing strategies. Collaborating with teams in the US, you will ensure alignment and consistency in methodologies while improving data governance frameworks. Leadership interaction will be key, as you present insights that impact underwriting and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee CAT exposure and portfolio analytics processes
• Analyze changes in catastrophe metrics for business insights
• Conduct location-level exposure analysis and reporting
• Develop CAT pricing tools to align with workflows
• Lead analytics during real-time CAT events for preparedness
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent
• At least seven years of related analytics experience
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in analytical programming
• Advanced understanding of insurance practices and principles
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
