Join RBC as a Senior Technical Specialist in the Mainframe Operating Systems team. Focus on installing and supporting z/OS products with a commitment to operational excellence.
This senior role involves the evaluation, installation, and troubleshooting of System Z operating system components across RBC Mainframe processors. You will collaborate with various support teams to ensure product functionality and stay current with support levels. A strong emphasis on communication and expertise in mainframe technology is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and support z/OS mainframe products, especially Netview/System Automation
• Collaborate with production and development teams on product support
• Research new vendor software features and functionalities
• Maintain product support levels and ensure quick resolution of issues
• Evaluate third-party vendors and software solutions
Requirements:
• Over 10 years of mainframe software installation experience
• 5+ years of REXX coding experience
• Proficiency in IBM TSO, ISPF, JCL, and SMP/E
• Strong understanding of change management processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
