Application Security Consultant

Lead application security initiatives with a focus on threat modeling as a consultant in downtown Toronto. This role combines strategic leadership, security testing, and risk assessment.

As an Application Security Risk Consultant for a 12-month contract, you will spearhead the development and enhancement of the Application Security strategy, focusing on threat modeling and security testing methodologies. You'll oversee security risk assessments, ensuring robust solutions for vulnerabilities, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in the enterprise banking sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the creation and refinement of Application Security strategies

• Oversee implementation and management of security testing services

• Communicate findings through clear documentation and presentations

• Act as an advisor to development and risk teams

• Conduct reviews of trends and emerging threats for risk mitigation

Requirements:

• 5+ years in Application Security and Vulnerability Management

• Hands-on experience with threat modeling frameworks like STRIDE

• Previous work in security testing and assessments

• Familiarity with enterprise banking environments

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are a plus
