About The Opportunity

The Payroll Services Consultant participates in all stages of the implementation lifecycle, including discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support, under the direction of the Project Manager, and may lead one or more implementation activities. Project responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, configuring the Dayforce solution to meet documented business needs, managing customer expectations, providing guidance to Associate Consultants, identifying project risks, and communicating issues to the Project Manager.

You'll Get To Do
  • Document and validate customer business requirements.
  • Configure the Dayforce application to meet documented customer requirements.
  • Conduct consulting sessions and document outcomes through meeting minutes.
  • Attend project meetings and provide status updates on activities and deliverables.
  • Provide customers with consulting services and general assistance within areas of expertise.
  • Develop SQL database scripts and XML transformers for integrations and interfaces.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter resource for specific functional areas for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with customers to implement Dayforce Organizational Readiness best practices.
Skills And Experience We Value
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree or postgraduate coursework is an asset.
  • 3–5 years of Payroll HCM consulting experience with an HCM software provider.
  • Expertise in complex integration solutions.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Experience creating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Parallel Test plans.
  • Experience in business process mapping and organizational readiness.
  • HCM lifecycle expertise, including operations, business practices, and technology enablement.
  • Superior customer support and relationship management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (up to 25%).
What Would Make You Stand Out
  • Prior consulting experience with both Payroll and HCM software.
  • Knowledge of prevailing wage and union concepts.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL scripting and XML transformers.
  • Prior consulting or functional experience with Dayforce HCM.
