Junior Software QA Technician at Hexagon

Kickstart your QA career with Hexagon as a Junior Software QA Technician. This co-op role focuses on hands-on testing, bug reporting, and Agile practices within a collaborative team.

Hexagon is seeking Laurentian or McMaster students to fill this co-op position.

You'll work with an Agile development team, testing software and troubleshooting issues, while gaining practical experience. Contribute to exciting projects and deepen your understanding of quality assurance in software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute tests and document results to ensure quality

• Create detailed bug reports and work with developers

• Develop basic test cases with mentor support

• Participate in field testing of equipment and software

• Maintain testing equipment and document activities

Requirements:

• Junior student in Computer Science or related field

• Basic knowledge of networking, especially WIFI

• Familiarity with programming languages and SDLC

• Exposure to Agile methods and automation technologies

• Bonus:

Experience with testing tools like JIRA or Git
