About the Role

We're looking for a highly motivated Applied Machine Learning Scientist II. In this role, you’ll drive the development and deployment of ML solutions that power data-driven decision-making. You’ll work closely with various teams to bring AI capabilities to life and deliver measurable business impact.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain ML models for use cases such as customer segmentation, acquisition, pricing and lifetime value

  • Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define success metrics and solution approaches

  • Conduct rigorous model evaluation, A/B testing, and monitoring to ensure model performance, fairness, and stability in production

  • Communicate complex technical results to non-technical stakeholders and provide actionable insights

  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.

  • Keep current on emerging trends and developments, and grow knowledge of the business, related tools, and techniques.

  • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

  • What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience applying machine learning to real-world business problems

  • Proficiency in Python and key ML libraries

  • Experience with structured and unstructured data, feature engineering, and model interpretability techniques

  • Hands-on experience with model deployment and monitoring in a production environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering results in cross-functional teams

  • Comfortable and effective when interacting with wide range of business partners and stakeholders.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal relationships with several stakeholders.

  • Ability to translate complex/technical terms and concepts into easy-to-understand business language.

  • Motivated to constantly strive to find innovative ways to enhance processes and analytical solutions.

  • Undergraduate degree required, advanced technical degree in a STEM field preferred

  • There is a possibility of people management responsibilities in this role

  • Nice to Have

  • Experience working in financial services or regulated environments

  • Exposure to GenAI or large language models and their practical applications

  • Familiarity with causal inference or reinforcement learning
