Senior Business Insights Analyst

Responsibilities

• Deliver actionable insights by creating and managing ad hoc queries and reports from various data sources to support organizational decision-making
• Design and implement dashboards that provide real-time visibility into key metrics
• Collaborate with teams to identify reporting needs, streamline data visualization, and drive a culture of data-informed decision-making
• Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
• Identify and address gaps between current data and the desired state through data cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes
• Establish robust governance standards to maintain integrity and compliance
• Play a key role in the adoption of new systems and technologies to support operational efficiency
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual effort
• Lead and project manage initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth
• Investigate operational related problems/inquiries, recommending and implementing solutions
• Develop business requirement documents and specifications
• Analyze data and work with management to develop creative solutions

• Expert level experience with PowerBI
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale systems in software engineering
• Familiarity with big data processing and building data APIs
• Experience with automated data quality frameworks is a plus
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases and SQL
• Experience working with cloud native architecture (PaaS) using Azure stack preferably
• Experience with Azure ML, Data Bricks (Spark), Azure Data Factory will be an asset
• Experience in building ETL pipelines to perform feature engineering on large-scale dataset using Spark
• Good understanding of project management methodologies and workflow design
• Ability to influence and negotiate with others to meet project deadlines
• Understanding of system design and analysis and user testing
• Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels
• Demonstrated understanding of issues relevant to the business unit
• Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical ability
