Mainframe z​/OS System Administrator

Position: Mainframe z/OS System Administrator Role
Take your expertise to the next level as a Mainframe z/OS System Administrator at DXC Technology. Focus on z/OS environments with responsibilities that include system installation, upgrades, and disaster recovery.

As a key player in our team, you'll manage the z/OS platform and its components while overseeing system builds and software installations.

Your role will include performing necessary upgrades, executing DR drills, and ensuring effective change management. Additionally, you'll be involved in system profiling and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install z/OS software using SMP/E and maintain systems

• Execute migrations, refreshes, and disaster recovery procedures

• Build and manage LPARs, including zLinux setups

• Maintain IOGENs and Coupling Facility configurations

• On-call support as part of a scheduled rotation

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in z/OS System Programming

• Strong knowledge of SMP/E and software deployment

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and scripts

• Understanding of Sysplex and Disaster Recovery processes

• Experience in large enterprise environments preferred
