About the Role:

The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting various database systems, including Cockroach DB and PostgreSQL, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities:

• Enterprise DB / PostgreSQL administration and support
• Cockroach DB installation, administration, and support
• Database performance monitoring and tuning
• Create design documentation and runbooks, and advise/coach other technical team members
• Highly available, cross-region database design, architecture, and implementation, including high-performance storage expertise - cross-site data replication (RAFT), backup/restore, and disaster recovery
• Performance and failover testing, data consistency/validation
• Data security and access control
• Minimum 3 years experience in hands-on consulting delivery and support in a client-facing environment, with emphasis on SME-level administration and troubleshooting skills
