Technical BSA – Data Migration; Asset Management

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Technical BSA – Data Migration (Asset Management) who will support a data-focused analytics and reporting initiative, including a Synapse to Databricks migration for global asset management technology.

Pay rate range (CAD): $55.00/hr – $65.00/hr

• Gather, analyse, and translate business and reporting requirements into data solutions
• Define business/reporting layer data models, including facts, dimensions, and table structures
• Design reporting-layer structures that support large-scale analytics and accurate reporting
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Developers to optimise data architecture and reduce redundancy
• Map, reconcile, and validate data coming from multiple source systems
• Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery teams
• Partner with development teams to refine data models throughout the build and integration phases
• Support data migration needs by clarifying requirements, dependencies, and acceptance expectations in an Agile environment

• Strong experience as a Technical BSA on data-centric projects
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and data warehouses
• Strong understanding of dimensional modelling (facts and dimensions)
• Ability to define business/reporting layer data models and table structures
• Ability to collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Developers on data architecture and design
• Hands-on experience with Databricks
• Understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
• Ability to map and reconcile data from multiple source systems
• Strong experience gathering, analysing, and translating business/reporting requirements into data solutions
• Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Self-sufficient professional who can ramp up quickly with minimal supervision

• Experience with Azure Synapse
• Experience with data migration projects, particularly Synapse to Databricks migrations
• Financial services experience, preferably in asset management, wealth management, mutual funds, or GICs
