Scrum Master – Data Lab
Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
We are seeking a Scrum Master to lead a Data Lab team, facilitating Agile practices, fostering collaboration, and ensuring project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a facilitator to support the team in reaching objectives and create a pleasant and efficient environment.
- Work closely with the team to provide vision and leadership, ensuring proactive and effective communication at all levels.
- Collaborate with the manager and project manager to determine sprint priorities and formalize delivery processes.
- Define and maintain the Definition of Done, ensuring quality control and alignment with Agile methodology.
- Anticipate problems and propose solutions, participating in issue resolution.
- Measure team velocity and progress of deliverables, adjust practices based on needs.
- Plan and coordinate deployments, prepare deployment plans and produce evidence for implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Minimum 7 years of overall experience in software engineering.
- Strong understanding of integration, continuous delivery, Dev Ops, CI/CD.
- Experience applying Agile methodologies with the ability to tailor practices to team context.
- Scrum Master certification is an asset.
- For Quebec candidates, bilingualism (English & French) is required.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada; no Canadian work experience required.
- Self‑motivated, resourceful, able to question the status quo, and a strong communicator.
Salary range (example): $94,200 – $115,200 annual (based on a 35‑hour work week). Bonus target is 12% of base salary with a potential payout of up to double the target, subject to performance. Share Purchase Plan offers up to 12% of salary or more, with a 50% company match on net shares. Pension and retained benefits available, including a defined benefit plan providing guaranteed income for life.
