Join Scotiabank as a Platform Engineering Specialist in Toronto, Ontario, where you will support Oracle applications and lead cloud migration initiatives. Expertly manage complex systems like OBIEE and People Soft while focusing on automation.
As an integral member of our Global Finance – Platform Engineering Team, you will bring over 9 years of experience in managing middleware environments. You will enable scalable deployments, support containerization efforts, and improve operational efficiency through automation and orchestration techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Oracle Application components and environment support
• Lead application upgrades and patch management
• Assist in containerization setups using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with cloud teams on deployment strategies
• Provide technical guidance on ETL and integration tools
Requirements:
• 9+ years with Oracle applications and middleware
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud environments
• Strong scripting in Shell or Python
• Proven skill in upgrade cycles and tuning
• Support high-availability system configurations
