Support VFX infrastructure with Company 3 as an Associate Systems Engineer in Toronto, ON, utilizing your skills in Windows and Linux environments. Collaborate with creative teams to ensure seamless operations.
As a key member of SDFX Studios, you will manage both Windows and Linux desktop infrastructures while assisting colleagues across various technology sectors.
Your role involves critical helpdesk support, infrastructure documentation, and active participation in company-wide IT initiatives. Engage in data-center operations, ensuring effective hardware lifecycle management and supportive infrastructure administration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Windows 10, 11, and Linux desktop operations
• Provide helpdesk assistance and escalate issues as necessary
• Assist with data-center tasks including racking and cabling
• Document IT functions and manage data-center inventory
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams for project success
Requirements:
• Experience in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows desktop environments
• Understanding of virtualization and networking principles
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Willingness to work on-site four days a week
