Senior Information Security Advisor, Cyber Security Department

We are seeking a Senior Information Security Advisor to lead initiatives that safeguard information system assets and strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity Incident Monitoring and Response: monitor security attacks and intrusions, respond in a timely manner, correlate alert data and threat intelligence, and participate in incident response activities.
  • Cybersecurity Posture Corrections and Enhancements: conduct vulnerability scans, provide remediation guidance, evaluate emerging threats, lead the corporate patch management program, and support identity and access management initiatives.
  • Cybersecurity Awareness

    Education:

    develop and maintain the corporate security awareness program.
  • Cybersecurity Governance and Testing: implement and maintain information security policy and controls, monitor effectiveness of internal controls, conduct threat risk assessments and testing, and assist in the execution of the corporate information security plan.
  • Support additional duties as assigned and ensure adherence to OPTrust’s policies, procedures, and values.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a Security or IT Audit role with team lead responsibilities.
  • Post‑secondary certification or degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Valid certifications: CISM, CISSP, CISA, and other industry certifications such as CEH or Cloud Security.
  • Strong understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST.
  • Experience developing and maintaining vulnerability management, risk metric reporting (KPI/KRI), and security advisory activities.
  • Experience with penetration testing, incident triage, tabletop and red team exercises.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, CASB, vulnerability scanners, IDM, PAM, encryption, email, certificates, web filtering, and firewalls.
  • Experience with Azure and Office 365 cloud security, and identity and access management reviews.
  • Excellent oral, written, and people‑oriented communication and strong organizational, time‑management, and critical‑thinking skills.
