The Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) is a federal Crown corporation that contributes to the stability of the Canadian financial system by providing deposit insurance against the loss of eligible deposits at member institutions in the event of failure. CDIC has been protecting Canadians’ deposits for more than 50 years. It was established in 1967 by an act of Parliament following financial disruptions that underscored the importance of depositor confidence and systemic stability.
Reporting to the Director, Applications & Data Services, the Senior Manager, Data Services is a key leadership role with responsibility for the tactical and operational direction of CDIC’s technical data services, including data platforms, integration, and governance. This role sits at the centre of CDIC’s ongoing data and technology evolution and offers the opportunity to influence how data is leveraged to support a mandate critical to Canada’s financial system.
In this role, you will help create and advance the enterprise data services strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and regulatory expectations. You will oversee the development and evolution of modern data platforms, including cloud-based solutions and integration capabilities, enabling secure, scalable, and high-quality data across the organization. Working closely with IT leadership, enterprise architecture, and business partners, you will enhance how data is accessed, managed, and used to drive decision-making, analytics, and innovation.
As the ideal candidate, you are an experienced data and technology leader with a strong track record in enterprise data services, including data architecture, governance, and platform delivery. You bring deep expertise in building scalable and secure data environments, along with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business outcomes.
