Our financial services client is seeking an Expert Data Analyst (8+ years) to support parallel system testing and reporting validation using SQL. Join a high‑visibility system migration initiative supporting risk reporting and business operations. This role focuses on parallel testing between legacy and new systems, validating data integrity, investigating discrepancies, and supporting reporting continuity through SQL analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams during a live transition from an existing system to a new integrated environment.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, In office 1 day per week on Mondays. 4 months.

• 8+ years of SQL
  , including window functions and query execution
• Data analysis within parallel system testing and reporting validation environments
• Reporting experience supporting data consistency, accuracy, and completeness

• Mapping UAT / ATL exposure
• Business Analyst experience

• Support parallel testing between legacy and new systems
• Analyze and validate data across both systems
• Investigate data discrepancies, connection issues, and reporting gaps
• Review mapping documents and translate logic into SQL queries
• Execute queries using query tools to trace data sources and validate outputs
• Document findings and elevate issues to project teams
• Participate in meetings to provide insights on data inconsistencies and system behavior
