Position: IBM i Support Engineer Role at TCS

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of AS400 applications within set service level agreements. The position requires strong capabilities in CL and RPG programming for troubleshooting, batch job processing, and system-level debugging. Collaborate with various IT teams to implement operational gap solutions and provide continuous support during business hours and 24x7 for critical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure AS400 application availability meets defined SLAs

• Resolve incidents and service requests promptly

• Collaborate with network and developers for performance

• Provide critical issue support around the clock

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis for incident resolution

Requirements:

• Relevant experience with IBM i (AS400/iSeries)

• Proficiency in CL and RPG for analysis

• Experience in job queue management and scripting

• Understanding of job logs and system messages

• Ability to perform data fixes and debugging tasks
