Role OverviewWe are seeking two Junior Identity Access Management Consultants to support enterprise-scale Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) environments. The role focuses on supporting, maintaining, upgrading, securing, and enhancing mission-critical IAM and PKI systems while collaborating with stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and application owners to deliver reliable identity services.
Key Responsibilities- Support PKI environments across Development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environments.
- Upgrade Entrust Certificate Authority platforms from legacy versions to current supported releases.
- Assist with migration initiatives to managed cloud-based PKI services.
- Implement disaster recovery sites for Certificate Authority infrastructure.
- Configure and support Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Upgrade directory services platforms and related technologies.
- Execute proof-of-concepts for new PKI-related services.
- Monitor system health, performance, availability, and service status.
- Start, stop, backup, restore, and recover service components as required.
- Perform system tuning and optimization activities.
- Apply patches, renew certificates, and maintain software licensing requirements.
- Triage, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to PKI services.
- Identify and resolve application and infrastructure problems affecting IAM and PKI environments.
- Assess the impact of proposed changes from clients and service providers.
- Document support procedures, maintenance requirements, and operational processes.
- Work with software vendors when extended support or escalation is required.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support for production environments.
- Provide scheduled support coverage for non-production environments.
- Participate in incident management as a coordinator, analyst, or SME.
- Participate in change management activities as a coordinator, analyst, or SME.
- Support networking infrastructure components including:
- Load Balancers
- Firewalls
- Proxy Servers
- Gateways
- Routers
- Provide application support across IAM and PKI technology stacks.
- Support client integrations with enterprise PKI and IAM platforms.
- Analyze technical requirements and design appropriate integration solutions.
- Develop and document integration patterns, standards, and approaches.
- Create processes and plans that support successful integrations.
- Construct, test, and deploy integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues.
- Develop utilities, scripts, applets, and reports to automate integration processes.
- Document integration designs and implementation approaches.
- Develop requirements for operational support tools.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and solutions.
- Install and configure support tooling.
- Develop, test, and deploy scripts, queries, reports, procedures, and automation solutions.
- Document operational support requirements and procedures.
- Assist in implementing disaster recovery solutions for future PKI applications.
- Define, document, and maintain operational disaster recovery procedures and processes.
- Define, document, configure, implement, and test system management processes.
- Establish monitoring standards, metrics, thresholds, and alerting mechanisms.
- Implement monitoring and operational alerting solutions.
- Work with hosting and infrastructure providers to implement system management procedures.
- Document system administration and operational processes.
- Contribute to role definitions and support models for PKI sustainment teams.
- Develop knowledge transfer plans and learning activities.
- Create plans to transition support functions to internal teams.
- Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and documentation.
- Support a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- 10+ years of experience sustaining commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Identity and Access Management solutions, including administration, operations, support, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting.
- At least 4 years supporting implementations with more than 10,000 registered users.
- 10+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting large-scale application implementations using:
- Entrust PKI Suite
- Oracle Identity Manager (OIM)
- Microsoft IIS
- IBM Web Server
- NGINX
- Oracle Web Logic
- SQL
- Oracle Database 11g or later
- Windows
- AIX
- Experience with ITIL processes including:
- Change Management
- Release Management
- Capacity Management
- Strong experience investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving complex IAM-related incidents and problems.
- Experience supporting change and release management processes for large-scale applications.
