Key Responsibilities Customer Responsibilities
  • End-to-end facilitation of the agile processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and change, acting as a change agent to adapt processes to maximize productivity across work efforts.
  • Engage appropriate stakeholders to identify and manage impediments to achieve outcomes of work commitments.
  • Identify agile team improvement opportunities and look externally for best practices to increase team productivity.
  • Ensure no hidden work; ensure that everything the agile team (e.g., pod) is working on is acknowledged and accounted for in the Product Backlog, protecting the team from distractions.
  • Champion agile practices and ceremonies, providing advice and guidance to the agile team regarding best practices in agile and the TD Scaled Agile methodology.
  • Ensure the team adheres to ‘Work In Progress Limits’ established by the Product Owner, and help them get into a flow of starting and completing work in a predictable manner.
  • Encourage the team to look for opportunities to support each other, focusing on higher priority stories the team members are struggling with.
  • Promote a collaborative culture within the team, ensuring team engagement and team building.
  • Coordinate and facilitate ceremony logistics, ensuring all Agile ceremonies/processes are held and all team members are present and on time, particularly the daily stand‑up.
  • Ensure engagement of appropriate control partners, working across the agile team (pod) to ensure required assessments and information are accurate and up‑to‑date.
Shareholder Responsibilities
  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies relevant to activities for the business area.
  • Ensure respective policies/practices are well executed, meeting business needs, complying with internal and external requirements, and aligning with business priorities.
  • Facilitate work execution aligned to established cost, timing, deliverable and scope objectives.
  • Adhere to enterprise governance to ensure deliverables meet all performance, quality and compliance standards and follow the approved methodology.
  • Work directly with key stakeholders to remove impediments and help manage cross‑team dependencies.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner(s), Technology Lead(s) and Team(s) on sprint planning, impediment removal, and team execution.
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes aligning with risk appetite.
  • Identify and manage risks, escalating non‑standard, high‑risk transactions/activities as necessary.
Employee / Team Responsibilities
  • Participate fully as a member of the agile team, supporting a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Provide thought leadership and industry knowledge for agile execution, participating in capability building for the team and business unit.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and developments, growing knowledge of the business and agile tools/techniques.
  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within the team.
  • Keep others informed and up‑to‑date about the status/progress of committed work and relevant information.
  • Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship, sharing knowledge and experiences and best practices.
  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external agile teams to develop productive working relationships.
  • Create a fair, positive and equitable environment supporting a diverse workforce.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the bank, internally and/or externally.
Scope & Experience Level

Experienced Scrum Master capable of supporting 1‑2 simple to complex pods/agile teams. Comprehensive knowledge/expertise in own domain/field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas, supporting a small team of professionals assigned to agile teams.
