Join Company 3’s dynamic SDFX Studios as a Junior Systems Engineer based in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Contribute to the VFX infrastructure and ensure technology supports creative teams effectively.
In your role, you'll assist with both Windows and Linux systems while providing vital helpdesk support. The ideal candidate will have a background in Computer Science or IT, with hands-on experience in systems engineering. Knowledge in networking and server technologies is essential, as you will be working on projects that enhance the local engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support for Windows, Linux, and MacOS desktops
• Assist in datacenter operations like cabling and inventory management
• Handle helpdesk requests and escalate when necessary
• Document ongoing IT tasks and infrastructure details
• Collaborate on company-wide IT projects and initiatives
Requirements:
• Background in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Windows and Linux desktops
• Knowledge of virtualization and automation in IT
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for datacenter work
