Our financial services client is seeking a Intermediate
Business Analyst (4-5 years of experience) to build and enhance OTC derivatives trade services using SQL and trade lifecycle analysis

Join a capital markets technology team delivering trading systems and services for internal users across OTC derivatives. This role supports the design and delivery of technology solutions spanning trade capture, lifecycle management, data analysis, requirements documentation, and UAT activities across multiple asset classes. The position offers exposure to trading systems, financial products, and new technology initiatives within a hybrid environment.

Must Haves

  • 4-5 years as a Business Systems Analyst within Capital Markets and financial institutions
  • OTC derivatives and full trade lifecycle exposure across capital markets environments
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills for data analysis
    , data mapping
    , and transformation validation
  • User Stories
    , BRDs
    , FRDs
    , acceptance criteria
    , and UAT support experience
  • Post-secondary education related to business analysis, technology, or a related field

    • Nice to Have

  • FpML, FIX, REST APIs, and JSON
  • Python for data analysis
  • Murex or Calypso
  • Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
  • Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence

    • Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for OTC derivatives platforms
  • Create data mappings, interface specifications, user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and acceptance criteria
  • Support trade capture, lifecycle management, and end-to-end processing initiatives across asset classes
  • Perform data analysis using SQL and contribute to API specification activities
  • Support UAT planning, execution, and post-implementation validation activities
  • Investigate production issues and perform impact analysis for enhancements
  • Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Operations, Compliance, QA, and technology stakeholders
