L2 SOC Analyst

Position: L2 SOC Analyst at BrightIT
Elevate your career as an L2 SOC Analyst with BrightIT in Toronto, Ontario. This in-office role focuses on advanced security monitoring, incident response, and cloud infrastructure protection.

As a critical part of our Information Security department, you will leverage your expertise to monitor security events and respond to potential threats. Working closely with the L1 team, you will manage escalations and conduct deep-dive investigations using various threat detection tools. Your analytical skills will ensure our environment remains secure against evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor AWS Cloud security alerts and validate incidents

• Conduct deep-dive investigations of security anomalies

• Lead incident response lifecycle from containment to recovery

• Act as primary point of escalation for the L1 team

• Develop SIEM rules based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework

Requirements:

• 2+ years in security operations or incident response

• Proficiency with SIEM platforms like Elastic Security

• Knowledge of AWS security services and Palo Alto firewalls

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication for incident documentation
